Discussion

Pretty much all of us have heard about the suicides of young people who were subjected to anti-gay bullying. Things got so unbearable for them that the thought of death sounded like a better option for them.

There's been a lot of talk lately about this subject, and a lot of people have come out in support of LGBT people. This is a wonderful step, and I'm happy to see it.

I'd like to see some discussion about things we can do ourselves, in our neighbourhoods, schools, communities, families, etc. to help take a stand against bullying of all kinds. What do you think we can do about this? How do you think we can help? Also, if you've done something to help, enlighten us! I'd like to hear stories about that, and I'm sure others would as well.

I hope this can get some real discussion going. It's a very important subject, and one that needs to be addressed everywhere. What helps? What hinders? How can we make change?
